That the House of Representatives urge the Government to recognise the Ukrainian Famine/Genocide of 1932-33 (the Holodomor) and condemn any attempt to deny or distort this historical truth as being anything less than genocide.

Petition reason
The term Holodomor refers to the starvation of millions of Ukrainians in 1932–33 as a result of Soviet policies. I believe the Holodomor meets the definition of genocide according to the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide, in Article 2(c). This identifies as genocide deliberate actions that create conditions of life leading to the physical destruction in whole or in part of a national, ethnic, religious or racial group."
